Artist Statement
As an Artist, I find beauty in recording the tension between ones romantic identity and their emotional psyche. Ideas and narratives of loss, sexual awakening and control influence a lot of what makes my work intimate and direct in nature. As a photographer, I am heavily invested in projecting and capturing the essence of myself through my subjects. My work bares a pattern of skin, nudity and portraiture. Fine Art, Photographic Masters who have heavily influenced my work and style as a whole include: Duane Michals, Robert Mapplethorpe, Ruth Bernhard & Ralph Gibson.
